After finishing The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy yesterday, I practically ran today back to the library to check out the second book in the series, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. I had several lovely surprises waiting for me on the holds shelf.
The Homeschooling Book of Lists (for my kids), The Dresden Files #1: Welcome to the Jungle graphic series (I'll find a challenge for it), One year to an organized life (part of my resolutions), Garden Spells (possible Well-Read Ladies February selection), Berlin: #1 City of Stones, Man's Search of Meaning (just in a weird mood), and plenty of books from the Babymouse series.

That organized life book sounds like one that could help me out too! I've only been to the library twice since the New Year, lol, but I'm sure a third trip isn't far away.
I was delighted and honored to see my book at your website! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to write to me.
Happy New year!

Happy New Year. I think I may have overdone it on the challenges a bit. I joined The Chunkster Challenge yesterday - big books, what was I thinking?
I've got the YA underway though with Dooley Takes the Fall and a massive YA pile in my room. This week I started Jazz by Toni Morrisson which is my first Dangerous book.
Garden Spells is a really good read. I got mine from the libray, but liked it so much I went out and bought it. It is like a tame version of Practical Magic, but really enjoyable. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Douglas Adams is hilarious! May you enjoy reading your loot [smile].

I finally got my library card back, so I will be interested to see what I can get at my library. It actually sucked quite a bit when I used to go there... Then, I went to university and had access to that library, so I never bothered with the local ones. I guess it is back to the local ones for me, though!
I just bought the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe for my little sister (16) for Christmas -- maybe I'll have to steal it from her when she's done!
Regina: Thanks! I'm loving your book!
Jodie: Keep going! I rarely read chunky books, so I didn't sign up. With all the challenges I'm already signed up for, it'll probably kill me.
Scrap girl: I can't wait to read it.
Luke: Thanks! Where have I been all this time to just discover Adam? =)
Meg89: Steal it.
Kailana: I love libraries.
Yay for Hitchhiker's! I love those books so much.
How cool VaSilly! I got a bunch of Welty and YA books! HuH? Why didn't I think of that!!!
Yummy yummy books! I'm especially interested in what you think of Garden Spells when you finish it. It was so much fun!
OH! I have WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE on my list! :)
This is a super idea!!
Nymeth: Isn't Douglas Adams the best?
Maggie: I hope you do a Library Loot post!
Andi: I can't wait to read Garden Spells.
J.Kaye: I hope you do a post!
I can't! Then everyone would see all the books I check out and never read. (lol)
Ha ha ha! I have a huge stack I have to return and I haven't read!
Good Stuff Vasilly! I've read Garden Spells and flipped through the organize book. At the time, I wasn't organized enough to actually read it, and having not read it, still woefully unorganized! ;D
I've had *Garden Spells* on my radar for a while ... I hope you enjoy it!
The *One Year to an Organized Life* looks great to me! any tip I can get (and integrate into my life) helps!

Man's Search for Meaning is one of my top ten books...one that I reread every couple of years. Great loot.
